It has been recognised that Burma is a relatively prosperous country with a thriving black economy. The current political difficulties are not expected to continue indefinitely therefore when the political scene regularises and sanctions are lifted, a number of opportunities will arise to companies that are well prepared and therefore able to capitalise on the opportunity.

Our brief was to conduct research and analyse the market potential of our client’s range of products, examine the benefits of local manufacture and prepare a full financial evaluation of the options. This plan included a number of sensitivities from a political perspective.
